Project Planning and Proposal Writing

This course can be applied to the UBC Certificate in International Development.

Get your project approved and funded by learning to plan and write international development project proposals using current tools and frameworks required by donors and funders. Whether you are a consultant seeking contract work, a not-for-profit administrator wanting to refine your project planning skills, a program manager writing a grant proposal, or a student or professional entering the field of international development, this course offers a solid and practical orientation in these critical processes and methods.

Format

The format of this course is 100% online.  One week prior to the start of the course, an email will be sent to all registered students containing instructions on how to access the online Learning Management System.

  • Prerequisite courses: (can be taken at the same time) (1 of following)
    • MC501 - Strategies for Effective Intercultural Communication
    • MC503 - Foundations and Skills in Intercultural Communication
    • MD499 - Culture, Communication and Development
  • MD500 - Dimensions of Development (can be taken at the same time)
