Technical and Design Processes in Digital Media Development
This course can be applied to the UBC Certificate in Multimedia and Web Development.
The time, money and effort it takes to develop a digital media project are reflected in the complexity of its structure. This course looks at the major responsibilities of a digital media developer, including content creation and acquisition, user interface development, navigation structure, and technology systems. Examine how these areas affect the direction, time management, and budgetary considerations of the project. Technical requirements and effects of various delivery platforms are discussed as well as the purpose of the media itself, from gaming and entertainment to online learning and e-commerce.
