Writing in Science for Undergraduates

Writing in Science for Undergraduates is an intensive writing course for students who want to improve their writing skills to succeed in science. Students will read selected texts and familiarize themselves with a variety of genres commonly used in science and technology. The modes students will learn to write include summary, definition, problem analysis, cause and effect, and comparison and contrast. Lab reports and research reports will also be covered. The course will include peer reviews and access to online resources.

This course is for UBC students only who have been accepted into the Academic English Support program.
