Terry Rogocki
Biography
Terry Rogocki, MA (Leadership and Training), has spent the past 15 years as an English teacher and researcher in Japan, a Livelihoods Advisor in Sri Lanka, and the Director of a private language school in Vancouver. During that time he also completed the UBC Certificate in Intercultural Communication.
Since 2008, Terry has worked mainly within the UBC community: as an instructor for international and intercultural programs, and as a facilitator for intercultural skills workshops with both faculty members and administrators. He also is a part-time instructor at BCIT and a soft-skills trainer at SAP software.
In his work across a variety of sectors, Terry has developed a skill-set in leadership, intercultural communication, organizational culture/behaviour, and
critical thinking. He has also acquired a strong interest in international development and human rights through his work, volunteer placement, and travel to over eighty countries. Currently, he is the vice-president of SIETAR BC and is on the Steering Committee for the Oxfam BC/Yukon region.
