Enjoy a viewing of the award-winning French film, The Intouchables, directed by Olivier Nakache and Eric Toledano. The film focuses on the development of a friendship between a wealthy tetraplegic and a young offender of Senegalese descent, who is hired as his live-in caregiver. Movie is shown with English subtitles. After the movie, join in a discussion led by a UBC Continuing Studies instructor while enjoying some light refreshments.
A $75 UBC Continuing Studies gift voucher (issued in August 2012), towards your next UBC Continuing Studies course or program. Gift vouchers are valid for one year.
As well, you can attend any of the other Continuing Studies summer institute events, which are also open to non-alumni enrolled in summer institutes.
*For the purposes of these offers, "UBC Alumni" are defined as those who have completed a UBC undergraduate or graduate degree. If you wish to be eligible for the offers, register for the summer institute of your choice. At the time of registration, you will be asked the year of your UBC graduation and the degree you received.
Consider a UBC kids day camp in aquatics, engineering & science, at the botanical gardens or farm while you are enrolled in a Summer Institute.
If you are coming from outside Vancouver, comfortable and affordable places to stay are available on the UBC Point Grey campus. Visit the UBC Conferences and Accommodation and the Green College websites for details.
