Centre for Cultural Planning and Development

UBC Continuing Studies is pleased to announce the launch of a new international Centre for Cultural Planning and Development (working title) made possible by a founding investment from 2010 Legacies Now and the Province of British Columbia.

Cultural planning is a holistic approach to the identification and strategic development of creative and cultural resources to enhance livability and strengthen both community and economic development. It is a practice that is gaining recognition worldwide, and is the impetus behind the creation of this new UBC centre that will make university-level education available to further develop the field.
