Today’s changing work environments require professionals to develop new knowledge, skills and best practices in order to better serve clients and employees who are facing change, interpersonal challenges, and career development. These workshops, designed for counsellors, coaches, career practitioners, HR specialists, social workers and other human service providers offer intensive and practical learning experiences. These classroom-based workshops limit the number of participants in order to provide a rich and interactive learning environment and the integration of theory to practice. The BC Human Resources Management Association (HRMA) has accredited four of these workshops for guaranteed Certified Human Resources Professional (CHRP) recertification credits.

Organizational training specialists aim to engage employees in rich, dynamic and meaningful learning experiences. Attention is often paid to differences in learning styles and using a wide range of methodologies to attract and retain the attention of the learners. Given the changing demographics of our workplaces, however, what more can we do to understand the strategies needed to work and learn effectively across cultural differences? Examine different perspectives on the role of facilitator and learner. Hear from a panel of adult learners as they explore culturally influenced approaches to learning. Broaden your repertoire of strategies for engaging and including adult learners from diverse backgrounds.
