The Understanding Wine program offers wine education for adult learners of all levels of wine knowledge. Our expert instructors use innovative exercises and fine wines to develop sensory skills, illuminate the importance of terroir, and introduce the basics of wine and food pairing. Beginners learn the vocabulary used to identify varietals, flavours and aromas, and advanced students refine their tasting palettes and deepen their understanding of the vinification process. Courses take place year round at the UBC Point Grey campus and downtown at UBC Robson Square.
For those interested in developing their knowledge further, consider courses in languages, culinary arts, or travel programs to a variety of exciting destinations.
