Senior Program Leader, Technology, Media and Professional Programs
Fiona McAuley, BA, is a Senior Program Leader for Technology, Media and Professional Programs at UBC Continuing Studies. She has over 20 years experience in adult education programming both in the public (university) and private sector, and brings a wealth of knowledge and experience in educational program development, marketing and business development, including developing programs for online delivery. She is an advocate for advisory and industry thought leader collaboration in program design and recently co-presented at the Canadian Assocation for University Continuing Studies (CAUCE) conference in Montreal on “Collective Collaboration and Thought Leadership."
Fiona is best known for building out the digital family of programs, and oversees a program portfolio that encompasses Digital Strategy, Digital Content and Communications, Social Media, Multimedia and Web Development, and Project Management (in partnership with Sauder School of Business).
Fiona began her career abroad in Japan and the United Kingdom specializing in business communications for international fortune 500 executive clients in the finance, media and telecommunications industries. As founder and co-director of an international language school for eight years, she developed corporate partnerships to sponsor international business internship programs. She is a member of DigiBC, the Digital Analytics Association (DAA), the DAM Foundation and Women in Communications and Technology (WCT), and is an advisory board member for the Merging+Media Conference. Fiona has a lifelong interest in the arts, culture and travel, and developing trends in emerging technology, business, and innovation in the digital space.
