Pre-University Program for High School Students

High school is when many students start to think seriously about their futures. What are you going to study at university? What profession do you want to pursue? What role do you want to play in the world?

Future Global Leaders is a two-week, pre-university program at the University of British Columbia in Vancouver, Canada. Designed for teens ages 15-18, this intensive academic program helps you  develop critical skills to succeed in an academic environment, and encourages you to aspire to be a leader in our increasingly global world. You also have a lot of fun.

Attend classes taught by UBC professors and instructors, develop your intercultural communication and leadership skills, and participate in social and cultural activities with other students from a wide range of backgrounds, countries, and cultures.

For summer 2017, choose from seventeen two-week academic courses . Opt to stay in a UBC campus residence,  or commute to campus daily.

Deadline for Applications:
  • Residence deadline: A limited number of residential spaces are still available for Session 3 (Jul 30-Aug 12). We will consider applications on a first come, first served basis. Residential spaces for Session 1 and 2 are now closed.
  • Non-residence deadline: We continue to evaluate applications for courses in which spaces remain. Applications will be accepted and evaluated up until the Wednesday before the session start dates (June 28, July 12, July 26).

Some courses fill up quickly. We invite you to submit a second choice in your application.
